Hi, I’m Taylor Broussard
photographer, doula, poet, earth tender, herbalist, devotee of the mother
It is my greatest honor in this life to serve mother's and families. Whether its through photography, birth and postpartum support, or hosting motherhood circles, I am continuously devoted to placing those that are nurturing life at the center of my world.
I am an aspiring mother myself, a horse girl through and through, an avid gardener, and an INFJ. My favorite place to have a camera in my hand (besides at a birth) is at the river.
What does it mean to remember reciprocity? For me, It means that when I look around in my world and I realize all that I've been given, I'm filled with such an overwhelming sense of gratitude that my only natural response is to want to give my life as an offering. I pray that my hands and my heart be used every day to be in service....to mothers, to families, to beauty and nourishment.
I do not give so that I receive — I realize just how much I have received, and therefore I give.
“Just as birth is a rite of passage, so is caring for women in their birth spaces.”
I believe that birth photography and videography are changing the cultural paradigm around birth. I believe that undisturbed physiological birth is one of the most magical and powerful forces on earth. I also recognize the sacred gift of medical intervention when needed and consented to. Mostly, I believe in mothers and their intuitive knowing.
